BRIEF HISTORY
The Catholic University of Angola (UCAN) is an Institution of the Church, authorised by Decree of the Ministries Cabinet, n.38-A/92, 7th August 1992 and was created by Catholic Bishops' Conference of Angola and S.Tom (CEAST) on 29th October 1997 to help the education of the Angolan people.
UCAN corresponds to CEAST's desire of promoting in Angola a Centre of Universtiy Studies, that upgrades an extensive and deep work of research and of formation in Human Sciences, Exact Sciences, Biological Sciences, contributing in conformity of Christian values, for development and growth of the Angolan nation. UCAN does not mean exclusion of anyone by religious reasons. It means only that the university will seek to ensure an integral formation, that is not only technical and scientifc, but also ruled by Christian Humanism.
LOCATION OF UCAN
UCAN is presently located at the Northeast wing of the St. Clunny School (Luanda), Nossa Senhora da Muxima Street, 29.

UCAN offers courses in: Law, Business and Management, and Information Engineering.
